From Lois Capps' web site:
"current water sources are shallow wells, which are unable to provide a reliable water source, particularly during dry weather, and severe MTBE contamination."

Water experts.....Is this true?
I thought we have enough water and infrastructure support for the current population.
Especially with the third well at the new high school pumping water, which was not figured in to the "emergency" water equation.

Project Name: Cambria Seawater Desalination
Recipient of Federal Funds: Cambria Community Services District
Recipient Address: 1316 Tamson Drive, Suite 201, Cambria, CA, 93428
Amount Requested: $2 million
Explanation of Request: The funding would be used to construct a seawater desalination facility to augment severely limited potable water supplies in Cambria. This request is a valuable use of taxpayer funds because current water sources are shallow wells, which are unable to provide a reliable water source, particularly during dry weather, and severe MTBE contamination.

great, Amanda.
when you speak with Ms. Capps, will you ask her if Cambria is required to pay lobbyists to get federal money earmarked for our community. And if so, could she earmark more money for our community to pay for those lobbyists, if it is a requirement.
Thank you.
