Hi all,
They will NOT be able to verify the count tonight by 5:30. They will open the doors at 5:30 talk to people and may answer questions, but are canceling the meeting until they can verify the count. I recommend that anyone with questions show up and let them know we’re watching.
Art says they may not even be able to verify it by Thursday’s CCSD meeting, although I told him I thought we should know for sure by then.

RATE PROTEST TALLY DELAYED DUE TO VERIFICATION AND AUDITING REQUIREMENTS
Cambria, CA—Announcement of the results of the Rate Protest Statements submitted at the July 14 CCSD Board Meeting has been delayed to allow for further verification and auditing.
Representatives from the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County and CCSD staff worked every day from July 15th through the weekend of July 19th to validate the protest statements received on the CCSD’s rates proposal. Despite this effort, the League is unable to certify the results until further verification and auditing is completed on the protest statements tabulation. Due to the protest count being so close, additional time is required to ensure accuracy.
The July 21st CCSD Board meeting to announce the results of the count has been cancelled. The CCSD’s goal is to have a final protest count and related auditing and verification accomplished by the end of July. A meeting date will be announced at that time.
For further information, please call 805-927-6223.
