The district has proposed rate increases of 12% by 9-1-08 and 14% by 7-1-09. They have not recommended any budget cuts. The citizens have requested the district meet us part way and cut costs. They instead have chosen to resort, and reshuffle expenses between enterprise funds and governmental funds so it appears they have cut costs, but they have just resorted the costs and taken them off the enterprise funds.
I am not in favor of increases without cuts.

The problem is with the Board of Directors.
There is a real lack of ethical and moral leadership. People who care about people don’t mislead and cheat their neighbors this way. People who care about people don’t waste money on out-of-town lawyers like our Board has continued to do either.
We need a complete change in Board members in November if there is any hope to end the waste, arrogance and trickery we must suffer through with our current Board make-up.
