CCSD Water and Wastewater rates (your every-other-month “water” bill) are going up. Last fall, 57% of Cambrians said, whoa! hold the phone! and rejected the increase designed by consulting firm Black and Veatch. The CFRC (Cambrians for a Fiscally Responsible CCSD) have spent several months looking at the numerous factors that influence what rates need to be. Many of the documents will be posted here at aboutcambria.com. Not everyone has the time or energy to study them all in depth, but you may find the Operating Budget for the last full fiscal year (06-07) an interesting read. It is, after all, your money and your community.
